Thers a barbed wire fence completely blocking the river about 1km down from the get on.(Old N22 road bridge, across from Kennedys Pet Farm.) This in not a few strands of wire washed down by the flood, but a proper fence erected during the dry spell. No room to paddle around either end.You'll have to get out and walk around. I had no gear with me to go dismantling it, as I was in a racing boat, didn't even have shoes. Don't know whats the story with how legal this type of thing is? Looks lethal.
